‘See Something Fanciful at Manifest’, Manifest Gallery
Cincinnati Enquirer>by: Marilyn Bauer. (Dec’06)
...With headlines stridently suggesting "More troops to Iraq," who among us isn't in need of a little whimsy? The place to go to infuse your new year with charm, goodwill, joy and childlike amazement is Manifest Gallery for "Whimsical Muse," an innovative collection of 14 works by 12 artists hailing from Alabama to Ontario....
"Note to Bonbonerie: There's a duet of paintings here with your name on it. "Twin Cakes" by Wynter Whiteside features the most exquisite icing rosettes made not with icing but dollops of paint festooned with Swarovski crystals. There's a lovely peach, yellow and lilac tea cake and what I imaged was a three-tiered wedding cake with an aviary-worth of birds. They are almost as good as an opera cream."

"Here is a holiday miscellany: three galleries, two bookstores, one display and no partridges. Central Ohio galleries have plenty of artworks for last-minute gift buyers. Here are examples from three galleries that offer a variety of small objects, many at small prices.
...'Just up the street is a similar small-works exhibition in the Roy G Biv Gallery, featuring drawings, prints, paintings and sculptures. Wynter Whiteside wins the prize for the smallest and least-expensive pieces. Her paintings on 1-inch-square wood blocks go for $7!'"
